I am a SoftChalk Cloud user. I installed Create and see a SoftChalk Create shortcut on my desktop. I clicked on the SoftChalk Create shortcut and nothing happened. What should I do?

I am a SoftChalk Cloud user. I installed Create and see a SoftChalk Create shortcut on my desktop. I clicked on the SoftChalk Create shortcut and nothing happened. What should I do?

You may have an issue with associating Java with the SoftChalk jar files. Please see the information below.

  • Did you install SoftChalk Create for the current user?  If so, please follow the instructions below:
    • Open your folder C://Users/USERNAME/AppData/Local/SoftChalk/Create (this is a hidden folder - you may need to set to view hidden folders.)
    • Right-Click on the file runLB.jar and choose Open with, select Java(TM) Platform SE Binary and click OK.
    • If you do not see Java(TM) Platform SE Binary, then you may need to install Java from Java.com.
  • Did you install SoftChalk Create for all users?  If so, please follow the instructions below:
    • Open your folder C://Program Files/SoftChalk/Create
    • Right-Click on the file runLB.jar and choose Open with, select Java(TM) Platform SE Binary and click OK.
    • If you do not see Java(TM) Platform SE Binary, then you may need to install Java from Java.com.
