When I click on a lesson link that should connect to the SoftChalk ScoreCenter, my lesson is not connecting? What should I do?

Your web browser needs to allow cookies from https://softchalkcloud.com site.


Please either try a different web browser or follow the steps below to enable cookies in your current web browser using the directions below:

In Chrome web browser:

In the upper right corner of your browser, click the three vertical dots. Select Settings Advanced (link at the bottom) / Privacy area – Site Settings / Cookies – Add – For Add a site, enter [*.]http://softchalkcloud.com and Add

In Chrome mobile device:

  1. Open the Chrome app.

  2. At the bottom right, tap More, marked as three dots, and then Settings.

  3. Tap Cookies, Site Data

  4. Ensure that all cookies, including third party, are allowed

In the upper right corner of your browser, click the three horizontal lines. Click Options Privacy (at the left) / Cookies and Site Data area – Manage Permissions. Enter https://softchalkcloud.com. Click Allow. Click Save Changes.

In the upper right corner of your browser, click the Gear icon / Internet Options. Click the Privacy tab at the top. Under Settings, click Sites. Enter https://softchalkcloud.com . Click Allow. Click OK.

In Safari web browser:

Step 1: Open the SoftChalk lesson in the browser. In the upper left corner of your browser, click Safari and select Preferences.  / Privacy Always Allow

Step 2: Enable cookies in Safari:

  1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.

  2. Deselect “Block all cookies.”

    Websites, third parties, and advertisers can store cookies and other data on your Mac.

You may not have this option selected, as it is not the default for Safari. However, if the option ‘Block all cookies’ is checked, it will need to be de-selected.

You will want to allow cross-site tracking in Safari when you are using it to access SoftChalk assignments.

Review the article above for screen captures and steps. However, Cross-site tracking is blocked by default and you will need to de-select that option in order to clear the message blocking your progress in your LMS.


In Mobile Safari:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhones or iPads.

  2. Scroll down and select Safari from the left navigation menu.

  3. Under Security & Privacy, disable both “Block All Cookies” and “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking.”

  4. Quit and restart the Mobile Safari app.

iPad

To enable third-party cookies in Chrome on an iPad, you'll need to navigate to the Chrome settings within the iPad's Settings app. Look for the "Chrome" app entry and toggle on the "Allow Cross-Website Tracking" setting.

  1. Open iPad Settings: Go to the "Settings" app on your iPad.

  2. Find Chrome: Scroll down and find the "Chrome" app listing.

  3. Enable Cross-Website Tracking: Locate the "Allow Cross-Website Tracking" setting and toggle it to the on position

Safari

 

To enable third-party cookies in Safari on your iPad, navigate to Settings > Safari > Privacy & Security and disable "Block All Cookies" and "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking". You might also need to restart Safari after making these changes. 

  1. Open Settings: Launch the Settings app on your iPad.

  2. Navigate to Safari: Scroll down and tap on "Safari". 

  3. Access Privacy & Security: Tap on "Privacy & Security". 

  4. Disable "Block All Cookies": Locate the "Block All Cookies" option and toggle it off (make sure the slider is white). 

  5. Disable "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking": Find "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" and toggle it off as well. 

  6. Restart Safari: Some sources recommend quitting and restarting the Safari app to ensure the changes take effect.

To allow third-party cookies in Google Chrome on an iPhone, you need to enable "Allow Cross-Website Tracking" in the iPhone's Settings app under the Chrome settings.

  1. Open iPhone Settings: Go to the Settings app (gear icon) on your iPhone.

  2. Locate Chrome: Scroll down and select "Chrome" from the list of apps, or use the search field if you're having trouble finding it.

  3. Enable Cross-Website Tracking: Toggle the "Allow Cross-Website Tracking" slider to the "on" position.

Safari

 

To enable third-party cookies in Safari on your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Safari > Advanced and ensure that Block All Cookies is turned off. You can also disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking in Settings > Safari. 

  1. Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.

  2. Select Safari: Scroll down and tap on "Safari".

  3. Go to Advanced: Tap on "Advanced".

  4. Disable "Block All Cookies": Locate the toggle for "Block All Cookies" and turn it off.

  5. Disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking: Locate the toggle for "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" and turn it off.

  6. Restart Safari: Some sources recommend quitting and restarting the Safari app to ensure the changes take effect.
