Slideshow Activity
With the Slideshow Activity, students view images associated with the subject and content of the lesson. The slideshow can include custom text for each image as well. You can also add audio (in an mp3 format).
Things to know
Activity title:
Up to 35 characters look best (50 max)
Activity instruction:
Up to 50 characters look best (500 max)
Slide limits:
Maximum of 50 slides can be created withing each activity
Character limits:
Up to 110 words at 100% for full text layout
Up to 120 words at 100% for above/below layouts
Up to 100 words at 100% for left/right layouts
Activity image best practice:
Recommended image size 1020 x 665
4:3 Image Aspect Ratio work best
Top/Bottom Layout:
Recommended image size 1000 x 272
Left/Right Layout
Recommended image size 342 x 358
To maintain image quality, crop the image dimensions using any image editor (ex. Paint/Paintbrush).
If an image is re-sized but not cropped to match pixel dimensions, the image may be stretched or squeezed to fit which can degrade the image quality.
Image of Completed Activity
Full image view is recommended.
Add text above, below or either side of the image in various overlay options.
Add multiple local image slides at once using the icon and select multiple images.

Create a Slideshow Activity
Click the icon to create a single slide.
Add Alt text for the image (required).
Click Back to return to the activity editor.
Repeat steps 2-4 until each image contains the required Alt text.
When finished, click OK.
The Labeling Activity placeholder will appear in the lesson.Preview the lesson changes.
When Fill image is ON, the image will display fill the entire slide from top-to-bottom and left-to-right.
When Fill image is OFF, the image will display with the actual image dimensions.
The image may not fill the slide completely.
With the Fill image: OFF setting, you can customize the slide background color.
Add audio files per slide.
Students will click to play the audio file on the slide.
You can add additional content to the slide by selecting an overlay.
This is how the added content will be displayed in the slide.
There are several Overlay options.
Center over image
At the Top over image
At the Bottom over image
At the Left over the image
At the Right over the image
Above the image
Below the image
At the Left of the image
At the Right of the image
Centered, no image
