Unlimited cards can be created in each category pile.

Category Text:

Up to 30 characters fit on two lines (unlimited)

15 characters or less look best (1 line).

Card Text:

Without an image, up to 85 characters fit comfortably on the front of the card without scrolling.

With an image at 50%, up to 50 characters fit comfortably on the front of the card without scrolling.

Activity image best practice:

2:3 Image Aspect Ratio work best for an image only card.

4:3 Image Aspect Ratio work best for an image with text (50% image, 50% text).

Minimum 179 pixel width x134 height pixel.

A 2:3 ratio means that an image’s width is 2 units and the height is 3 units.

A 4:3 ratio mean that an image’s width of is 4 units and a height of 3 units.

A unit can be inches, lines, or pixels

There are several free image editors available to adjust the image aspect ratio.

1. Enter up to 5 category titles.

2. Click on the + icon on the right
   to add a Local image file, SoftChalk Cloud image file or URL image file location to display on the card backs (optional).

3. Click the icon to add the Card for the category.

4. Click Select File to insert your local image file, SoftChalk Cloud image file or URL image file location (optional).

5. Add Alt Text for each image
   (required if image is added).

6. Enter text into the editor card in
   the center (optional).

7. Use the text toolbar to change
   font size, format, and color.
   
   To the right is a preview of the card
   as it will appear in the activity.

8. You can click Back to return to
   the Category list and add or edit
   a category.

9. You can also choose an image for
   the stockpile card back (optional).

10. Click on the icon on the bottom left to add a Local image file, SoftChalk Cloud image file or URL image file location to display on the card backs (optional).

11. When finished, click OK.
    The Connections Activity placeholder will appear in the lesson.

12. Preview the lesson changes.
