I am unable to save my lesson to the Cloud. I receive the message “Error uploading package, Extraction Failed" and my lesson does not appear in my Cloud account.


First, try resetting your internet or Wi-Fi connection and retrying the upload. Sometimes the connection to SoftChalk Cloud can time-out or be interrupted temporarily.

If this occurs, you will see the above message. Clear you browser cache and restart the browser, then attempt to save to Cloud again.

If this error persists, check if you have entered any text into the Metadata Description for the lesson.There are certain characters that, when entered into the Metadata Description, cause the lesson to fail to upload.

These include arrow brackets (<>) and dashes (-,~).

First, try removing all text from the metadata and attempting to upload. If it is then successful, re-create the metadata information, excluding any special punctuation or other characters you may have used.
