Within my Blackboard, I am getting an OATH Invalid Signature or content identifying information error when I try to access my LTI link for my SoftChalk Cloud lesson. What should I do?

First, contact Blackboard technical support at your institution to make sure that the LTI feature has been enabled in your Blackboard system. You can send your technical team the link to the Blackboard and SoftChalk Cloud Integration Guide.  This guide has instructions for the Blackboard Administrator to set up the LTI feature. (This procedure takes about twenty minutes).


If your LTI feature has been enabled in your Blackboard system and your are seeing the OATH Invalid Signature or content identifying information error for specific lessons, you may have encountered the Blackboard issue below.


We encourage you to submit this issue to Blackboard. (For instance, two or more lines in the LTI description field in Moodle works fine.)


Blackboard Issue:


If you have two or more lines in the description field for the LTI link, then when you click on the link you will receive the error:
OATH Invalid Signature or content identifying information

Workaround:

Use one line or leave the description field blank.
