Firefox uses the defaults set by the operating system when determining what media player to use. To change your computer's default media player for .mp3 files, take the following actions:
STEPS
- Locate a .mp3 file on your computer.
- Right-Click on the file.
- Click on Open with > Choose default program...
- (in Windows XP, it is Open With > Choose Program...)
- Select the program you would like to open the file with if it is shown, or Browse... for it.
- Check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.
- Click OK.
