I have a Windows computer. I receive the following error message when trying to launch or edit a lesson from the Cloud while using Firefox as my browser. Error: Unable to access jarfile softchalk.jar. What should I do to fix this issue in Firefox?

You will receive the above error if a JNLP file within Firefox is not set to launch with Java Web Start. To set this correctly please do the following:

  1. In Firefox, please select the Tools tab in your browser.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Select the Applications area.
  4. Scroll down until you find the JNLP File under Content Type.
  5. To the right under Action select the drop down arrow and ensure the Action is set to Use Java(TM) Web Start Launcher.
  6. Click OK.
