How do I modify learning content I find in SoftChalk Cloud?

There are three ways to modify the learning content you find on Cloud. You can make certain modifications to learning objects that you embed or link. You can make any change you wish to learning objects that you download.  You can also copy objects and lessons to your content area and make changes from there.

Embedded or linked learning activity objects: You can modify a few learning object parameters, for example the score value and the background color, before you "grab" the embed code or the url link information for the learning object. When you place the embed code or link into your web page, the learning object will include those changes. Using this method, you can only modify the parameters available when you view the learning object on the Cloud site. The changes you make will not affect the original version of the learning object.

Embedded or linked lessons and course: You can modify the size of the embedded window. The changes you make will not affect the original version of the learning object.

Downloaded learning objects: You can download the learning content into SoftChalk, and then modify any aspect of the learning content. When you make changes to the learning content in this manner, you are making changes only to your copy of the learning content, not to the original learning content as posted in SoftChalk Cloud.

Copied content: You can copy learning objects and lessons by choosing the Copy button underneath the preview window.  This material will copy into your content area, and you can choose to open the content directly in SoftChalk Create for editing.  The original author's name will still remain underneath the content in the preview window. When you make changes to the learning content in this manner, you are making changes only to your copy of the learning content, not to the original learning content as posted in SoftChalk Cloud.
