When I try to bring up a page with embedded media in Internet Explorer (IE), I get a message about IE restricting active content. What should I do?

You will get the above message when you are previewing your pages from your local computer. (You will not get this message when you are viewing a website with the same page.) To disable this message, see below.

STEPS

  1. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools/Internet Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab at the top of your screen.
  3. Scroll down to the Security section.
  4. Select the Allow Active Content to run in files on My Computer checkbox.
  5. If you put your SoftChalk files on a CD, then you may also want to select the Allow Active Content from CDs to run on My Computer checkbox.
