π Introduction
This release introduces enhancements to the Learner Experience in tracked SoftChalk lessons. New contextual alerts help prevent loss of credit for incomplete work:
π Page Navigation Alert: If a learner leaves a page with uncompleted scored interactives, a warning will appear.
π Finish Button Alert: At the end of a lesson, learners will be notified of any incomplete interactives, with clickable links to return and complete them.
These alerts help learners quickly identify and complete missed work. Incomplete activities will be highlighted with visual indicators and descriptive text.
π Track Your SoftChalk Lesson in Your LMS
Add your lesson to your course using LTI:
Log into your LMS as Faculty/Instructor
Follow your LMS-specific SoftChalk User Guide to:
Add the scored lesson as an Assignment
Link it via the SoftChalk Cloud LTI
π Access Assignment as a Student
To view ScoreCenter improvements:
Open a different browser
Log into your LMS as a Student/Learner
Click the SoftChalk Cloud linked assignment
π Connection Message
Upon accessing the lesson, learners will see a reminder to click the Finish button on the last page to submit their score.
Click Continue to begin the lesson. This message confirms the attempt is being tracked.
π§ Navigate Pages
Depending on setup, learners may see:
ποΈ Overview Page
Acts like a title page. Click the button at the top to begin.
π Table of Contents
Located in the navbar or sidebar. Click links to jump to specific sections.
β¬ οΈβ‘οΈ Previous and Next Buttons
Found at the top or bottom of each page for navigation.
β οΈ Incomplete Interactive Message
If a learner tries to leave a page with uncompleted interactives, a popup will appear with options:
Go Back: Highlights incomplete items
Continue: Proceeds without completing
Ignore Warnings: Disables alerts for the session
Even if warnings are ignored, the Finish button will still prompt learners to complete missed items.
The Continue button will navigate to the desired page. Click Go Back to outline and highlight incomplete interactives on the page. See examples below.

Always click Check Answer or Check Answers to submit responses.
If skipped, answers wonβt be saved.
After submission, learners will see their results.
π§ͺ Quiz Group β One Question at a Time
Questions may appear individually.
Click Next to move forward.
After the final question, click Check Answers to save responses.
π Resume Message
You can exit the assignment at any time. When you return, your previous answers will be saved and your attempt will resume from where you left off.
π Final Submission β Finish Button
IMPORTANT: Always go to the last page of your lesson and click the Finish button to submit your score.
β ScoreCenter Submission
The Finish button appears at the bottom of the last page.
If any interactives are incomplete, a message will appear with links to return and complete them.
If you do not click Finish, your score will not be submitted or counted.

Youβll see a confirmation screen.
You will have options to:
Print Receipt
Email Receipt
Print Certificate (optional)
Feedback and Previous Attempts
If you have already completed an attempt and the instructor provided feedback, navigate to and click on the SoftChalk link again. The Feedback and Previous Attempts button will be available in the Connection message.
