I track learner attempts in my LMS using the LTI link. How can I let learners review or practice the lesson again after they’ve already submitted it for a grade?
There are a few ways to give learners access to the Hyperlinked (non‑LTI, ungraded) content after they complete the LTI‑linked assignment (which is graded and tracked).
Use a release condition
The most direct method is to set a release condition that makes the Hyperlinked content available only after learners complete the LTI‑linked assignment. This approach ensures learners complete the graded activity first.Make the Hyperlink available after the Due Date
Another option is to create a separate assignment that contains the Hyperlink and set it to become available after the LTI assignment’s Due Date. This gives all learners access to the content without using release conditions.Use the “First Score” scoring method
You can also set the LTI assignment’s ScoreCenter to First Score. With this Scoring Method, only the first completed attempt is sent to the LMS gradebook. As long as the Maximum Attempts setting allows, learners can reopen the content for additional practice. Only the first attempt’s score will be recorded in the gradebook.
