I want to make my content easy to find in the Share Repository. How can I add Metadata to My Content?

If you choose to have your content public, be sure to set the appropriate Metadata for your content so that it can be searched in SoftChalk Cloud. The Metadata settings are in your Cloud account.

You can enter a description, keywords, subject, and education level for your item or lesson.

  • Although the information below specifies Lessons, you can use the same steps to access Metadata for Learning Objects or Files.

  1. Log into your SoftChalk Cloud account.

  2. Go to My Content>Lessons (Learning Objects or Files).

  3. Select the hyperlinked item name.

  4. Scroll below the preview window to view the Lesson Actions menu (Learning Object Actions or File Actions).

  5. Choose Edit Lesson Properties.

  6. Add a description. We also recommend that you enter keywords so that your content can be found in the SoftChalk Share Search Repository field where users search for content.

  7. Select one or more Subjects and Education Levels and click Save Changes
