I want to track learner attempts in my SoftChalk Cloud account. How do I create and track my content in Cloud ScoreCenter?

First, create a lesson under My Content > Lessons with scored Quiz Poppers/Quiz Groups and/or a scored Activity. Then save the lesson to your SoftChalk Cloud account to generate the lesson hyperlinks.

Once you have created and saved your scored lesson, you can create a Cloud ScoreCenter to track attempts within your SoftChalk Cloud account.

  1. Log into your SoftChalk Cloud account.

  2. Navigate to ScoreCenter > My ScoreCenters

  3. Click on Create ScoreCenter under the Actions menu.

  1. On the Properties tab, enter a Name for the Cloud ScoreCenter (up to 100 characters).

Instructions will be displayed when learners are selecting ScoreCenters when taking content.

3. Set the ScoreCenter to Available.

ScoreCenter availability can be turned on or off. Uncheck this if you do not want learners to be able to select this ScoreCenter when taking content.

Who can access the ScoreCenter tracked lesson?

Under the Authentication tab, decide who can access the ScoreCenter tracked lesson.

You can limit access by Users: Allow any identifier, Allow specified identifier, Allow any valid Cloud Users or Allow specified Cloud users.

Learners can enter any identification to access the content.

For example, a learner could enter: Jane Doe, JDoe, DoeJ, Jane-Doe, janedoe, etc..

 

You may want to specify the desired format in the Instructions area on the Properties tab.

Add a list of identifications allowed to access the content.

Only specified identifiers may take the content. You may add multiple identifiers at the same time by adding their identifier on a single line.

3. The identifiers will move under Current Identifiers.

This option requires the learner to enter an active SoftChalk Cloud account username and password to access the material.

This option requires the learner to enter a specific SoftChalk Cloud account username (and password) to access the material.

3. The identifiers will move under Current Identifiers.

 

You will also see the number of identifiers added to the list.

How to access the ScoreCenter tracked lesson?

You can require learners to enter a password to access the lesson material.

Limit access with a specific password.

Learners will be required to match the password to access the material.

Want to limit your ScoreCenter to select IP Ranges?

Enter IP Ranges for the specific computer devices that will access the material.

Only devices within the set IP Range will be able to access the material.

Limit your ScoreCenter to be valid on specific dates.

Enable score tracking for specific dates.

 

Click in either the Start Date or End Date date box and select the date from the calendar.

Notice you can select multiple date ranges.

Select an attempt to Edit Date Range and/or Remove.

You have the option to share score results with other SoftChalk Cloud users.

Click the Share Results tab and add your SoftChalk Cloud users.

Notice that there is an Editing checkbox.

The Editing feature applies to all your shared users for this
ScoreCenter.

You have the option for your shared users to either:

  • Only view the scores (Editing is de-selected) or

  • Make changes to your ScoreCenter (Editing is selected) – i.e., change the scoring method for a lesson, number of allowed attempts, override grades, and provide feedback.

 

Manage Lessons the ScoreCenter is tracking.

Select lessons from the Available Lessons column and click the middle right arrow to add lessons to your ScoreCenter.

 

The lessons in the Available Lessons box at the left is determined by alphabetical order of your lesson names.

The Tracked Lessons area allows you to assign any content that you have uploaded to your SoftChalk Cloud Account to be tracked by this ScoreCenter.

 

These lessons will appear in the ScoreCenter as Type: Hosted (Tracking).

To remove a lesson from being tracked in your ScoreCenter:

  1. Select it in the Tracked Lessons column

  2. Click the arrow pointing to the left.

3. Click Save Changes Click at the bottom of your screen.

After completing this action, the lesson is still in your My Content/Lessons area; it is just not being tracked in your selected ScoreCenter.

  • If the gradebook did not contain any captured data, the Lesson will be deleted from the ScoreCenter.

  • If the gradebook contained any captured data, the Lesson will still appear in the ScoreCenter as Type: Hosted.

 

Trash can icon will delete the gradebook.

If you click the Trash can icon next at the far right of the tracked lesson, the Lesson and Gradebook (including captured data) is removed from the ScoreCenter

This deleted content cannot be recovered.

You will need to confirm you want to delete the item and attempt data.
