How do I use the My Files feature to put a video item in SoftChalk Cloud and reference that item in other lessons?
With a SoftChalk Cloud account, you can upload a video into your SoftChalk Cloud account. Then you can reference this video in one or multiple lessons. If you need to update the video, you can update it once in the Cloud.
In SoftChalk Cloud, navigate to My Content > Files.
2. Under the Actions menu, click on Upload Files.
3. Choose the Cloud Folder where you want to place the file.
NOTE: If you are uploading multiple files, choose which folder the file should upload to using the drop-down menu for each file.
4. Click on Browse to locate or Drag & Drop your file.
5. Once the upload progress bar stops loading, you will see each file uploaded along with the folder title and image title.
6. Click the Upload button.
7. Click OK in the successfully uploaded message.
8. The page will refresh and return to the My Content > Files area.
You’ll see each file uploaded into the correct folders.
In Create Online, place your cursor on the line where you want the video to appear.
(If you have already inserted an video, double-click on the video placeholder and skip to step # 6)
2. Click on the Media icon in the toolbar.
3. Choose the appropriate Link Source and click Select File.
4. Click to select the video.
5. Click OK.
6. Choose to display the video as a Linked file or Inline player.
7. Adjust the Width and Height of the video. (optional)
8. Add a Description to the video to be read by screen readers. (optional)
9. Click OK to return to the Create Online editor.
