When I insert an image into a lesson, what happens to the image file?

There are two ways to put an image into a lesson.

Within SoftChalk when you choose insert a Local File to insert an image into a lesson, the image file is saved with the lesson. In other words, there is now the original image file and a separate image file that is saved as part of the lesson.

With a SoftChalk Cloud account, you have the option to put a file into your My Content > Files area. Then, you can choose insert a SoftChalk Cloud image (or any file) in your lesson. You can reference this file. This option allows you to have the file in one place on the Cloud where you can update it.

For details on how to upload and reference content from within your SoftChalk Cloud account, see the FAQs: https://softchalk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCFAQ/pages/2369129236 and https://softchalk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SCFAQ/pages/2418573442
