Does SoftChalk have a scenario branching or case study feature?

Does SoftChalk have a scenario branching or case study feature?

With SoftChalk, you can use bookmarks to create branching possibilities. Within a learning activity or quiz question, bookmarks can be placed within the feedback for correct and incorrect answers to advance the learner or to redirect them to another location to review/remediation or an alternate path.

In addition to using bookmarks to create a branching scenario, you can turn off all navigation for a lesson and use bookmarks to deliver a sequential learning experience.

Create a bookmark where you want users to navigate back to within your lesson.

  1. In the Create Online editor, place your cursor in your lesson where you would like to place the bookmark.

2. Click on the Bookmark icon in the toolbar.

3. Enter a Bookmark Name and click OK.

4. Repeat steps to create each bookmark to a section of your lesson you want to reference users to for review.

You can link text or an image to the bookmark you created using the Bookmark menu. In this example, we will hyperlink text to the bookmark in the feedback for correct and incorrect answers of a True or False quiz popper.

  1. Highlight existing text/image or place your cursor where you want to link to the bookmark.

Here we are linking to a bookmark in the ‘Feedback for Wrong Answer’ section of a True or False quiz popper Feedback tab.

2. Click the Link icon from the rich text editor toolbar.

3. Choose the Link Type Bookmark. Use the arrow drop-down menu to Select a Bookmark.

If not already populated, add the Text to Display (required)

4. Add a Destination link title (required) and click OK.

5. The text now appears as a hyperlink in the feedback area.

6. Click OK to save the quiz popper.

  1. In the Create Online editor, click on the Properties icon in the toolbar.

2. Choose the Title & Layout menu item.

3. Toggle each Navigation option OFF.

4. Click OK

5. The Previous and Next navigation options will not appear at the top or bottom of the lesson page.

The table of contents will not display in the sidebar.

Users must use the hyperlink bookmarks to navigate through the lesson.
