Flash Card Activity

With the Flash Card Activity, students can view text, images or media and can "flip" the card to see additional content.

Things to know

Activity title:

Up to 35 characters look best (50 max)

Activity instruction:

Up to 50 characters look best (500 max)

Character limits:

Maximum 40 characters

Up to 20 characters fit on the label in one line

Activity image best practice:

Recommended image size 1020 x665

To maintain image quality, crop the image dimensions using any image editor (ex. Paint/Paintbrush).

If an image is re-sized but not cropped to match pixel dimensions, the image may be stretched or squeezed to fit which can degrade the image quality.

Create a Flash Card Activity

Build the Activity

  1. Click + to create a card.

  2. Add text, image, or media content to the card.

  3. Click in the editor window to:
    • Format text font style, size, color, and
    alignment.
    • Click the image icon to
    add an image to the
    flash card.
    • Click the media icon to
    add media to the flash
    card.
    • Use the link icon to
    hyperlink text to a
    website, local files, etc.
    3. Use the Flash Card
    right-click menu to add
    even more features.
    4. Click on Front/Back to
    edit the opposite side of
    the card.

  4. Change the animation
    (optional) used for:
    • Card flip
    • Move to Next Card
    • Move to Previous
    Card
    6. Turn Shuffle: On to
    automatically rearrange
    the cards.
    7. Click OK to insert the
    activity into your lesson.

7. When finished, click OK.
The Labeling Activity placeholder will appear in the lesson.

8. Preview the lesson changes.

Show Answers (on)

When Show Answers is enabled, any empty placeholder will automatically display the label in the correct placeholder.

Show Answers (off)

When Show Answers is disabled, any label not in a placeholder will remain in the left-hand column and the placeholder will remain empty.
