Connections Activity
With the Connections Activity, provide a prompt for learners to identify an item(s) from an unlimited group of items. Learners will click to select items that are ‘connected’ or related to the ‘prompt.’

Activity image best practice:
2:3 Image Aspect Ratio work best for an image only card.
4:3 Image Aspect Ratio work best for an image with text (50% image, 50% text).
Minimum 179 pixel width x134 height pixel.
A 2:3 ratio means that an image’s width is 2 units and the height is 3 units.
A 4:3 ratio mean that an image’s width of is 4 units and a height of 3 units.
A unit can be inches, lines, or pixels
There are several free image editors available to adjust the image aspect ratio.

To maintain image quality, crop the image dimensions using any image editor (ex. Paint/Paintbrush). If an image is re-sized but not cropped to match pixel dimensions, the image may be stretched or squeezed to fit which can degrade the image quality. |

Create a Connections Activity

Build the Activity |
Enter an activity prompt.
This prompts the student to click on a specific area of the image.Click the ‘Add Item’ + icon to create a card.
Add and format text in the middle card and/or
Add an image using Select File.If the card is the correct answer, click the box under ‘Correct Answer’ at the right.
Return to the activity editor clicking the Back button.
Repeat these steps to create all correct or incorrect card(s).
Select options: Partial Credit, Show Answers, Feedback Sounds, or add points for a scored activity.
When finished, click OK.
The Connections Activity placeholder will appear in the lesson.Preview the lesson changes.
