The steps below are for your Buzz Schoology administrator to enable the LTI/ScoreCenter feature for your Buzz Schoology server. For details on the LTI/ScoreCenter feature, see the section Scored Lessons (Cloud Users).

As an Buzz the Schoology administrator to use the ScoreCenter feature, you need to register with SoftChalk and configure the ScoreCenter for your system.

  1. Please contact help@softchalk.com and provide the following information to register with SoftChalk and receive authentication credentials (i.e. an OAuth Consumer Key and an OAuth Consumer Secret).
    If you have a test server and a production server, you may send us two LMS URLs and we will register both of them. (You will receive a separate email with a unique key and secret for each registered URL.)

a. Your institution name

b. LMS URL

c. First Name (optional) of the person registering with us

d. Last Name (optional) of the person registering with us

e. Email for this registration (the email can be a specific person’s email or a generic email such as lmsadmin@myinstitution.edu)

2. After registering, you will receive an email from SoftChalk with information to enter into your Agilix Buzz Schoology system (see the steps below).

3. Log into your Agilix Buzz Schoology administrator account. Click on Use as an Admin.

4. On the Details page, click the triple dots next to the profile icon and select Domain Settings.

5. Scroll down to LTI 1.1 tools and click Add.

6. Beneath the LTI 1.1 tool, enter www.softchalkcloud.com as the Hostname and paste the OAuth Consumer Key and Secret you received from SoftChalk after registering
your server.

7. Click Done to save the integration

From your home page, select System Settings at the left

4. Select Integration.

5. Click the External Tools tab and click Add External Tool Provider.

6. Fill in the below fields:

For the Tool Name, enter SoftChalk Cloud.

Paste in the Consumer Key and Shared Secret information that you received in an email when you registered with SoftChalk (see the previous step 1 in this section).

For the Privacy, select Send Name and Email/Username of user who launches the tool.

For the Domain/URL, enter https://www.softchalkcloud.com.

7. Click Submit

Congratulations! You have successfully set up SoftChalk to work with your Buzz Schoology environment.
